RESUME
Tony Bell is the Raw Material Strategy Director for ForFarmers. Tony joined the business, formerly BOCM, 40 years ago. This after being brought up on the family farm and going to study for an Agricultural Degree at Newcastle University. The early part of his career was involved in buying a wide range of commodities for the compound business. During the mid 1980’s he moved to Holland to work in Unilever’s head office buying oils and fats for their European operations. Returned to the UK in 1989 to manage Unitrition, a specialist seed crushing business. In 1997 Tony was appointed Raw Material Director of BOCM PAULS, now part of ForFarmers, where he was accountable for the Company’s raw material buying and formulation functions. Tony has been chairman of AIC’s Feed Executive Committee, and also a board member of AIC for 12 years. Now a member of the FEFAC Praesidium.
