The SFIS Project - Specialty Feed Ingredients contributing to Livestock Sustainability
RESUME
Joerg Seifert is the Secretary General of FEFANA – the EU Association of Specialty Feed Ingredients and their Mixtures. FEFANA is the united voice of the specialty feed ingredients business in Europe comprising manufacturers and traders of feed additives, functional feed ingredients, premixes and other mixtures of specialty ingredients that enter the food chain via feed. Joerg studied food science and technology at Technical University Berlin and holds an MBA degree of Henley Management College. Joerg has worked with the dairy industry for almost 20 years. As Technical Director of the International Dairy Federation he was also in charge of building a work programme related to dairy sustainability of which critically important elements of relevance to the feed sector were presented at a special session during the last GFFC in Sun City in 2013. Joerg took his present position at FEFANA in June 2015.
